Comments: I wonder if you've done any research on Matilda Mowe's husband Frederick George Hirons? This man seems to have married five times and his first four wives died between 1899 and 1905, which seems to be a bit suspicious. I am related to the first wife, and was contacted today by a man who knew about the third wife (a relative) and had found the 1st 2nd and 5th wives on three censuses. A little more digging turned up Matilda on your site.
He was a pedlar born 1866 Wellesbourne Warwickshire.
Wed Hannah Cox 1890 Warwick, she died 1899 Wellesbourne
Wed Rose Emma Loveridge 1899 Warwick, died 1902 Warwick
Wed Flora Jane Lancet 1903 Warwick, died 1904 Warwick
Wed Matilda Mowe 1904 Coventry, died 1905 Warwick
Wed Ellen White 1906 Coventry, still alive 1911 Warwick!
His only known child: Frederick William born 1900 Warwick
There was another Frederick George Hirons born 1880 Daventry which is a fair bit further away. He would be a bit young to marry Matilda, and we know he didn't marry the other three - either from censuses or marriage records. He probably married Ellen Jeffs 1909 Stratford.
I know women died young, especially in childbirth, so I wonder if you have any info on Matilda's death? We suspect we may have found a serial killer!
Hoping to hear from you.
All best, Chris
