    Obituary for John Maw
"Golf is deceptively simple and endlessly complicated; it satisfies the soul and frustrates the intellect. It is at the same time rewarding and maddening – and it is without a doubt the greatest game mankind has ever invented." -Arnold Palmer

Well that didn't go as planned.- Jack Maw 2020

I was really looking forward to joining you all for another fabulous season on the course at Shilo, but my heart had other plans. With great disappointment I have taken my leave, to join my beautiful wife, Wreatha on the "other side". I'm sure she will have something to say about how this all went down.

Don't cry for me. It's a waste of Kleenex and with the second wave upon us we may need back up.

Due to my dislike for egg salad sandwiches and warm cheese, there will be no funeral but a private celebration will take place at a later date planned by my kids, whenever the world decides to get it together, and we can fly again.

To my friends at the golf course, the Bobcat games and the coffee shop, I will miss our conversations.

To my past teaching colleagues, what a ride. Was good to know you. To my students, and the athletes I coached over the years, I hope I taught you something useful.

To my kids & grandkids, you have made me very proud and I am certain that you will continue to build successful and full lives. Keep working hard and do what you love. Life is far too short for anything else.

To everyone else who touched my life in some capacity, thank you.

I lieu of flowers please do something nice for someone else. Your gift of kindness means more in the end.

    All the best,

    Jack
