SLATERVILLE'97Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 30, 2001. He was born June 23, 1960 in Ogden, Utah. The son of Elwin and Dolores Maw Slater.
On March 17, 1988 he married Janis Chadwick of North Ogden, and they were sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple for time and all eternity.
He graduated from Weber High School, and then received a Bachelors degree in Logistics and Computer Science from Weber State University.
He started his own business in Computer Service where he worked for 14 years on contract with the Forest Service in cartography.
Winn was an elder in the Slaterville Ward. He served a two year mission in Melbourne, Australia were he was an assistant to the mission president. He dearly loved his mission and held those memories close to his heart all his life.
He also served as a Sunday school teacher, primary teacher, and in the elders quorum. Winn was currently serving as Elder Quorum Executive Secretary.
He loved playing the drums and the piano; music brought him a lot of happiness.
He enjoyed all kinds of sports and loved the outdoors, especially fishing in Montana, but most of all he loved spending time with his boys. Winn loved his many friends and those memories will always be cherished.
Surviving are his wife of Slaterville, two sons, and three step-daughters. Chad Winn Slat4er, Jayson James Slater, Shannon Tittensor, Tara Tittensor (David) Grant, and Shay Tittensor.
Also surviving are his mother, Dolores Maw Slater, three sisters, and one brother. Doloy Skeen, Shawnee Adams, Scott Slater, and Mindy Nebeker.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father Elwin Slater.
