Joseph Whitner Maw, 88, of 1321 Honeysuckle St., Cayce, died Sunday.
Born in North Carolina, he was a son of the late Joseph and Ida Kansas Zachary Maw. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Columbia and a former lineman for Western Union Telegraph Co.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sue Arledge Maw; a grandson, Albert L. Maw of Columbia; and a granddaughter, Miss Sherry Maw of Columbia.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church of West Columbia, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Thomas E. Cuttino and the Rev. W. Lloyd Hellams. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be six members of his Sunday school class.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of West Columbia.

Ouida Maw Blackburn, of Central, widow of Enoch C. Blackburn died July 5, 2016.
Born in Young Harris, GA, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Elizabeth Swanson Maw. Ouida was a graduate of Central High School and a retired employee with Gerrish Milliken in Pendleton. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Central and the Gleeners Sunday School Class.
Surviving are daughter Carol Sipes of Central; sisters, Betty Jones of Greenville and Wilma Brown of Six Mile; grandsons, Maxie Sipes of Pelzer, SC, Richie Sipes of Central; Jason Blackburn of Clinton, SC and Zack Blackburn of Clemson, SC; great grandchildren, Corey Sipes, Gabriel and Gabrielle Sipes; and a special friend Roy Merck of Liberty, SC.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Harry Blackburn; brother, Earl Maw, Sr.; sister, Edith Brooks; and a great-granddaughter, Taylor Sipes.

Born in Central, SC, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Mary Swanson Maw. Wilma was a graduate of Central High School and retired after 25 years as the Clerk of Court for the City of Clemson Municipal Court. She was a Baptist and a member of the Ladies Red Hat Club of Clemson.
Surviving are two sons, Dean (Sandra) Brown of Salem, SC and Tate Brown of Six Mile, SC; daughter, Sabrina Lowdenback of Six Mile; sister, Betty Jones of Greenville, SC; grandsons, Justin Brown, Tyler Brown and Dillon Brown; and a great grandson, Cole Brown.

Earl "Junior" Maw, 68, of Pickens, passed away, Wednesday, November, 13, 2013 at Hospice of the Upstate.
Mr. Maw was born in Pickens County, the son of the late J. Earl Maw, Sr. and Myrtle Norris Maw.
He was retired from the Pickens County Sheriffs Department, where he served as a Lieutenant, in the Criminal Investigation Division. He was a member of the Tri State Law Enforcement Association and the Fraternal Order of Police.
He was an avid golfer, a veteran of the U. S. Army, and a member of First Baptist Church of Norris.
Surviving are his wife of forty eight years, Rosanne Fox Maw; a daughter, Teresa Timms and her husband, Shane of Pickens; a grandson, Brandon Looper.
Funeral services will be held, Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 1:00 P. M. in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, Friday, from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC, 29621 or the food pantry or building fund of First Baptist Church of Norris, P. O. Box 130, Norris, SC, 29667.

Born in Anderson, on January 16, 1949, he was the son of Ouida Maw Blackburn and the late Enoch C. Blackburn. He was a graduate of D.W. Daniel High School and the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in Louisville, KY. Harry was a Funeral Director & Embalmer at The McDougald Funeral Home in Anderson and had formerly been employed by the J.F. Floyd Mortuary in Spartanburg. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Central. Harry was also a faithful member of the Electric City Shag Club.
Mr. Blackburn is survived by his mother, Ouida M. Blackburn of Central; his two sons, Jason Richard Blackburn of the Whitten Center in Clinton and David Zachary Blackburn of Six Mile; and his sister, Carole Blackburn Sipes of Central.
