    Our loving mother and grandmother, Evelyn L. Quesada passed away March 26, 2014 at home. She was born December 28, 1929 in Ogden the daughter of Milton O. and Florence L. Howe Maw.

    Evelyn spent her days crocheting for everyone and loved donating her items to the homeless; she also enjoyed old western movies.

    Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Paul Quesada; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Brandi; her parents and one brother.

    She is survived by her children, Karen (Tom), Stephanie (Ian), Charlotte (Clifford), Sharon (Gerry) and Jim (Diane); 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 1great-great-grandchild.

    Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd.

    Sharon Ellis Geils, 64, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at home. She fought hard with every battle she faced.

    She was born August 8, 1953 in Ogden, Utah to Loyd Ellis and Evelyn Maw.

    On August 11, 1973, Sharon married her best friend, Jerry Geils at Hill AFB, Utah.

    She enjoyed shopping, getting her hair and nails done and her country music. She loved making crafts and spending time with her family. She loved all of the Holidays, where she made many memories with everyone she knew. Her favorite thing to do was gift giving.

    She is survived by her husband, Jerry, her two daughters; Christy Vanderbloom (Steve) of Tooele, Utah and Shaunna Geils (Alan) of Wichita, Kansas; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 sisters; Stephanie Webber and Charlotte Ellis; and 1 brother, James Ellis. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Karen Burgess, and nephew, Jeremy Burgess.

    Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017, at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2017, and prior to services at the mortuary from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m.

    Karen Ellis Burgess, 59, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at McKay-Dee Hospital. She was the strongest woman, who fought hard with every battle she faced.

    She was born August 6, 1955 in Ogden, Utah to Loyd Ellis and Evelyn Maw.

    On February 19, 1971, Karen married her best friend, Thomas Lee Burgess, in Ogden, Utah. They were later sealed forever together in the Temple.

    She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in the Relief Society.

    Karen was a loving and devoted daughter; she spent 15 years as the caregiver of her mother who passed away a year ago.

    She enjoyed traveling, getting her nails done and her country music. She loved spending time with her family. She loved all of the Holidays, where she made many memories with everyone she knew.

    Karen is survived by her husband, Tom Burgess; four sons, Troy (Jen) Burgess, Greenville, OH; Steven (Katie) Burgess, South Ogden, UT; Cody Burgess, Ogden, UT; Tommy (Aubrey) Burgess, Roy, UT; one daughter, Shelly (Daren) Layman, Roy, UT; 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchild on the way; one brother, Jim and three sisters, Stephanie, Charlotte, and Sharon.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Brandy and one son, Jeremiah Lynn Burgess.

    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday May 29th and Saturday from 12:45 to 1:45 at the mortuary.

    Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.
