Notes:
Village of Nobleton - At Hwy 27 and King Rd, west of Hwy 400, East of 50. Nobleton is named for Joseph Noble, the first tavern keeper and early settler. Nobleton, King Township, Ontario in York Region (GTA) was first settled in 1812 and grew quickly because of its proximity to Bolton, Schomberg and King City. Soon there were general stores, taverns and hotels, a post office, two churches, a Masonic Lodge and Orange Hall. Mr. Noble's descendant, William Maxwell became Lord Beaverbrook a renowed British Statesman. [Courtesy of the Women's Institute].
