On the other hand there is a marriage between Bartholomew Maw and Mary Wilson on 29 Nov 1802 in Slingsby, Yorkshire, England. Again, this only a few miles away from both Marton cum Moxby where William is born and also a few miles from Sherriff Hutton where he marries. Another clue is that one of Williams sons is called Wilson Maw ...   Different Birth Places in different Censi: 1841 > Yorkshire 1851 > Mortin Sordship, Yorks 1861 > Sherriff Shilton, Yorks = Sheriff Hutton where his wife came from and where he also married. 1871 > Martin, Yorks All this leads us to believe that he is the William Maw who was christened on 06 Nov 1812 in Marton Cum Moxby, Yorkshire, England which is less then 4 miles away from Sherriff Hutton. IGI mentions that Williams mother is Mary Walkington. I can however not find any marriage between Bartholomew Maw and her.
