- Marian Maw Obituary
Marian Maw was born on October 5, 1935. She was born to Henry and Myrtle Verlinda in Everett, Washington. Marian was the youngest of three children, Lawrence was her older brother and Gloria was her older sister. Both predeceased Marian. The family lived on a farm in Marysville, Washington where she learned to work hard. The family raised several animals. Marian loved all animals but her favorite animal was her horse named Smokey.
Marian married the love of her life, Oren Joe Maw. Oren was in the Navy. Marian and Joe raised five children, in Monroe Washington: Linda Ruth Bow, Raymond Joe Maw, Janet Ann Rogers, Donna Jean Domina, and Debra Kay Paul. They shared the love of animals, high-school sports, hosting family gatherings, traveling. motorcycles and time with family. Marian always prioritized her family first, she worked nights at Fircrest School (28 years) so she could see her children off to school and be home when they got off the bus. Early in their marriage, Joe was severely injured in a motorcycle accident.
In September of 2000, Marian's husband passed away. After he passed, she continued to fill her days with her family. In the last few years, Marian loved sitting by her picture window watching the deer and birds that frequented her front yard as she fed them daily. If there is one word to describe Marian, it would be kind. She had a generous and loving heart.
Marian passed away in the early morning on January 11, 2022. Marian is survived by her:
Daughter, Linda Ruth Bow and Granddaughter Elizabeth Bow
Son, Raymond Joe Maw, Daughter-in-law Karen; Grandchildren, Lynsey, Heather and her Husband Matt, Great grandson Jordan; Grandson Aaron Maw and his wife Lauren.
Daughter, Janet Ann Rogers, Son-in-law Mike; Granddaughter Jessica Brady, husband Scott, Great grandsons, Isaac, Ethan and Owen; Granddaughter Jodee Rogers and Great Granddaughters Ashlynn and Emma.
Daughter, Donna Jean Domina and Son-in-law Francis
Daughter, Debra Kay Paul and Son-in-law John Grow; Grandson Jacob Paul and his wife Jayme Paul, Great grandchildren Abbygale and Jerimiah, and Granddaughter Kristy Paul.
