I«b» George Maw the younger of Scotter in the county of Lincoln, Butcher«/b», being indisposed of health but of sound and perfect mind memory and understanding do make and ordain my last will and testament in manner following: In primis, I devise all that my freehold .. messuage or cottage or tenements or premises in Scotter aforesaid which I ... of John Peacock unto«b» my nephew William Pask«/b» and his heirs for ever. Only ... will and direct that «b»Sarah, now the wife of James Barrot«/b» shall ... enjoy the shop parlour and chamber over them that is now in the possession of .. Audas for and during the term of her natural life. Item. I give and devise my copyhold cottage and premises in Scotter aforesaid which I purchased of ...Wood unto «b»my nephew John Pask «/b»and his heirs for ever. Item. I give unto «b»my said nephew John Pask«/b» the sum of fifty pounds and unto «b»my niece Ann Pask «/b»the sum of one hundred pounds to be respectively paid them by my executor hereafter named when they respectively attain their ages of one and twenty years. Item I give unto «b»Elizabeth the wife of John Airy my niece«/b» fifty shillings yearly to be paid by said executor for and during the term of her natural life.       Signed sealed published and declared by the said testator to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence and at the request of the said testator. A. Smith; the mark of (illegible)
      On the eighteenth day of September 1786«b» William Pask the nephew«/b» and one of the next of kin of the within named George Maw deceased was sworn that to the best of his knowledge & belief this paper contains in it the last known will and testament of the said George Maw deceased - that he will faithfully execute the same by paying his just debts .. and the legacies given and bequeathed in and by his said will so far as his goods chattels and credits will extend and the law oblige him - that he will exhibit a true and perfect inventory of the goods chattels & credits of the said deceased into the Registry of the Archdeaconry of Stow and render and pass a just and true account of his Administration thereof when lawfully required, and further that the said George Maw did not die possessed of personal estate to the amount or value of one thousand pounds. Before me T. Smith, Surrogate.
      N.B. «b»George Maw the sole executor «/b»named in the within written will died many years before the testator.
      On the eighteenth day of September in the year of our Lord 1786 administration of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the within named George Maw deceased with his last will and testament annexed, were committed and granted unto William Pask the nephew and one of the next of kin of the said deceased he having been first duly sworn before the Reverend Thomas Smith lawfull surrogate of the Worshipfull Leonard Towne Clerk A.M. Official of the Archdeaconry of Stow lawfully constituted. George Maw the sole executor named in the within written will having departed this life before the said George Maw the Testator.       «i»Note- George Junior wrote his will in 1764 while ill, making his dad executor and residuary legatee - George Senior died in 1768, but Junior did not die until 1786. Nephew William Pask took out administration with will annexed.
