  	In the 1901 Census, Clara Maw was mentioned to be the adoptive daughter of James Pearce and Emma Pearce (née Featherston). The Pearce's had a son T F Pearce who became in 1902 Clara Maw's husband. The strange thing is that although her father died in 1893, her mother was still alive and appeared elsewhere on the 1901 Census … Were Clara and T F "engaged" at that time?
