Son of Samuel Harrod and Mary Ann Maw. Married Bertha Mable Colton 23 Dec 1903 in Milton, Halton Co, Ontario.
OBIT - The late Wiliam Harrod was born in Trafalgar Twp in July 1878 and died at his residence, 5th line Trafalgar on Feb 5th 1909 being in his 31st year. He ws the only son of Samuel Harrod of Palermo. At the age of 25 he was married to Bertha Colton, daughter of Geroge Colton of Omagh. Mr. Harrod was an industrious young man of good morals. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him. he was a faithful husband and kind father, always bright and cheerful and was known for his honesty, truthfulness and sobriety He was ill about two weeks. An abcess and peritonitis were the cause of his death. He leaves to mourn his loss a widow and two little girls aged 2 and 4 years respectively. The funeral took place from his late residence on Monday Fet 8th and was largely attended. The service ws con ducted by Rev. W.H. Douglas, who preached an appropriate sermon from the text, Amos 4:10 "Prepare to meet they God" Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Milton.
