    • Proposed Change: Maw, George (I12149)
      Tree: Maw Family

Description: Not a change but rather an addition that I am suggesting. My suggestion:
George Maw was baptized 21 July 1745, Rawcliff (West Riding), Yorkshire, England. He was the son of James Maw.

This same George Maw married Esther/Hester Priestley 06 Feb 1770 Whitgift, Yorkshire, England. Witness: James Maw
Both bride and groom "of this parish".
Source: www.findmypast.com England Marriages 1538-1973 Transcription

George and Esther had the following children:
      1- George bapt 29 Oct 1770 Whitgift
      2- James bapt 21 Jun 1772 Whitgift
      3- John bapt 10 Dec 1774 Whitgift

      6- Hannah 28 Jun 1778 Whitgift

      I believe:
George Maw b 1745 is the son of James Maw and Hannah/Ann??
I believe James had died by 1753; see www.findmypast.com , 05 Aug 1753 bapt of Hannah Maw, daughter of Hannah Maw, widow.
I have no birth or marriage dates for James and Hannah/Ann.

James Maw and his wife Hannah/Ann had the following children:
1- George bapt 21 Jul 1745 Rawcliff, Yorkshire He married Esther/Hester Priestley 06 Feb 1770. see above
      2- Mary bapt 26 Jan 1746/47 Rawcliff
      3- Thomas bapt 17 Apr 1750 Rawcliff
4- Hannah bapt 05 Aug 1753 Rawcliff Her mother Hannah was a widow at the time of her birth,
