(I have a copy) 1871 age 1 called Almond A Lewis born York at home living 42 Stonegate, St Michael Le Belfrey, Bootham, York 1881 he is Arthur Lewis age 11 boarder at St Paulinus Acadamy, Catterick a catholic school. The information says born Yorkshire but when you see the census it says born York, Yorks. 1891 he is aboard ship in Ramsgate Harbour, Kent as Arthur Lewis age 22, occupation is AB (A seaman who reached a standard of skill above that of Ordinary Seaman). Born in York England. The ship is the M S Miltiades a iron clipper of the Aberdeen line and the captain/master is Harry Ayling age 60 born London 1831. It travelled to and from Australia. 1896 Married 3rd Sept by Licence at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Ashington Road, District of Fulham. 2nd mate Merchant service.Witnesses Mildred Lewis + Emily C Hope.
