He was born July 9, 1950 in Ogden, a son of Lionel A. and Rhoda "Dixie" Conner Maw. Randy married JoAnne Thornton on July 9, 1971 in Plain City. They later divorced. On August 15, 1978, he married Lisa Felt in Ogden. They were later divorced. Randy married Debbie Hollis on November 29, 2001 in Roy. He was reared and educated in Ogden graduating from Weber High School. He also graduated from Weber State College with a Bachelor's Degree. Randy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Randy began working as an Emergency Medical Technician with Ace Ambulance and as a firefighter for Riverdale City. He then worked for Hill Air Force Base Fire Department retiring in 2001 as a Captain, after 32 years of service. Randy enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed attending his children's athletic activities. He had a great sense of humor that will be missed by all. Surviving are his wife, Debbie, of Loganville, GA; one son and two daughters, Lionel Joe Maw, West Haven; Jennifer L. Maw (George) Evans, Ogden; Jessica "Jecca" B. Maw, Portland, OR; and three grandchildren, Tristen, Brittney and Breonna. Also surviving are his father of Plain City; one brother and three sisters, Jody J. (Susan) Maw, Hooper; Liana L. (Dale) Satterthwaite, Huntsville; Darcie L. (Michael) Whaley, South Weber; Julayne M. (Kyle) Stoker, Plain City. Randy was preceded in death by his mother and brother Rame A. Maw. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd. Friends and family may call at the mortuary on Saturday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Graveside services will be on Monday, February 7, at 10:30 a.m. at the Plain City Cemetery, where Military Honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Hon or Guard.
