- Services for Marsha Kesler Mays' father , Donald F. Kesler Sr., 94, of Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, in Marocco Funeral Chapel.
He died at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born March 9, 1911, in Mishawaka, he was the son of Harlie and Nettie Johnson Kesler. He was married July 25, 1937, in Crown Point, to Claribel Klinsick, who preceded in death Feb. 21, 2001.
A 1930 graduate of Swayzee High School, Mr. Kesler was a salesman.
He was a lifetime member of the Elks.
He enjoyed playing golf and cards and liked to work on cars.
Surviving are two daughters, Phyllis Maw and her husband, Don, Logansport, and Marsha Mays and her husband, John, Hot Springs, Ark.; two sons, Jeff Kesler and his wife, Becky, Logansport, and Keith Kesler and his wife, Jayne, Peru; one daughter-in-law, Karen Kesler, Logansport; 13 grandchildren, Tom Vance, Trisha Vance, Travis Vance, Bryan Maw, Lori McPike, Lisa Lindsey, Randy Kesler, Keila Howard, Kelly Widner, Tim Kesler, Dylan Kesler, Jason Kesler and Stacey Kesler; 16 great-grandchildren, Marisa Vance, Zackary Vance, Coulton White, Brandon Howard, Brittany Howard, Tyler Widner, Cody Widner, Alexis Kesler, Griffin Kesler, Devin Kesler, Bradley Maw, Braden Maw, Zoe Kesler, Jordan Lindsey, Parker Lindsey and Lauren Lindsey; and one sister, Mid Faulkner, Argos.
One son, Donald F. Kesler , preceded in death Nov. 21, 2003. Three sisters and two brothers also preceded in death.
The Rev. Douglas Mankell will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel. (12-29-05)
