emails 2 Mar 2016 (126 years) - Comments: Hello!
I came across your website while researching Laurence Frank Gatenby (died 14 Jan 1917 in WW1; your UID 8EFFED86FAB043F4BBF0852D2591BD09BA40)
The Imperial War Museum in London has set up a website "Lives of the First World War" to remember those, civilian or in the military who were involved in WW1. It will be a permanent digital record.
I have set up a community devoted to those men who were cricketers, Laurence Gatenby being one of them. I am particularly interested in the Tassie men since, prior to returning to the UK last year, I lived and worked in Launceston for 14yrs.
I am therefore contacting you to see if you would be interested in adding anything to the IWM website. You would need to create an account but, although you need to subscribe to search the records (in association with "find My Past") it is completely free to add information.
Please see «u»<https://livesofthefirstworldwar.org/lifestory/7444999#timeline>«/u»
for what I have added to his life story so far.
Would you mind if I create a link to the page on him in your family tree as part of the evidence for his life story?
I look forward to hearing from you,
Kath Kelly
