- Mrs. Mary Smith
Mrs. Mary Smith, 56 years of age, niece of Sir William Carmichael, of Durham, England, died Wednesday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born in Felling, Durham, England, Mrs. Smith came to Canada in 1910, residing in Brantford, Ontario, for a year before coming to Calgary, where she had since resided. She was active in the Pro-Cathedral, being a member of the Mother's Union.
She is survived by a son, Thomas; a daughter, Mrs. James Emery, and three grandchildren, all of Calgary.
