- Michael Maw Obituary
October 16, 1940 - April 20, 2022 Michael Bailey Maw, most recently of Laguna Woods Village, passed away on April 20, 2022, after complications from a recent stroke. He was 81. Michael was born October 16, 1940, in Bronxville, New York. He attended Lawrenceville High School, Yale University (at which he was a proud member of the Alley Cats singing group), Columbia Law School, and Fordham Business School. After some years practicing as an attorney in New York City and Washington D.C., he moved into entrepreneurial pursuits. Michael moved to Southern California in 2001 and was delighted to meet the woman who would become his beloved wife, Eve Beck. They enjoyed 20 years of travel and activities in their community. In addition to his wife Eve, he is survived by two daughters, Liz and Carlyn Maw, and two grandsons, Alex and Will Rogin. Dad's profound wish was for people to get to know one another better. In his memory, in lieu of donations or flowers, please ask someone about their day and their interests. When possible, sing.
