Notes - Hi Lesley
Thank you for pointing this out .. it is marked in our notes to be researched further.
We have a death of Mary Maw, wife of Cook Maw in Epworth in 1793.
We have 2 different sources for this:
1) the index produced by FHS Isle of Axholme with date 14 5 1793
2) microfiche as seen in the Lincoln archives but with other date 10 4 1793
You know as well as me that this is no real hard proof but so far we have found only a Robert Cook Maw who was the father of Cook Maw.
We failed to discover any other data for Robert Cook Maw apart from the fact that he was the father of Cook Maw ...
We also found just one marriage for Cook Maw to Mary Theaker ...
Taking in account that Cook is so unusual, I would for the moment assume that his first wife Mary died and that he remarried to another Mary ... There is a gap between the births of son Thomas 1792 and son Joseph born 1799 ...
Are you related to this part of the tree? If so do you have any further information that proves that Mary Theaker was still alive in 1809? The IGI mentions Cook Maw and Mary as the parents ... doesn't say Mary Theaker ...
Best regards,
Johan Lauwens

re mary theaker b 1768 married cook maw
child born 1809 as igi confirms so i think the date death you have of 1793 may be wrong
NBI does have a few mary maws buried at epworth but nothing leaps out as being 100% [4, 5]
