The annual winter horse races on Lake Scugog took place with two great days of racing.
Railway meetings held in Manchester and Port Perry regarding the Ontario & Quebec Railway, which proposes to purchase the PW & PP Railway and extend it to Georgian Bay with a branch to Uxbridge.
H.L. Ebbels calls for the people of Reach to be taxed for the support of the Port Perry High School.
Mr. Harrison Maw disposes of valuable lots on Queen, Mary and Perry St., in Port Perry by auction, J. L. Watkins, auctioneer.
J.H. Brown becomes the successor of the office of the treasurer in Reach following the retirement of Geo. Currie.

3395 FENTON.- Robin Leaper. Robin died peacefully at home in Edinburgh on 24th May after a long fight against cancer. He joins his wife Jill Mary who died sixteen years ago. Robin was a well known figure in East Yorkshire with his involvement and passion for shipping, education, politics, Norway and music. He had a profound effect on many lives and will be sadly missed, particularly by his children Kim, Carol, Peter, Chris and Nick and his grandchildren Henry, Josh, Sam, Nadia, Alex, Louie, Max and Edie. A service/ Celebration will be held at St. Mary's Church, South Dalton, near Beverley. At 3pm on Thursday 4th June.
