She had her niece staying with her during the 1901 Census:
Mary Barr, niece, single, 25, Housemaid (Domestic), worker, born in Westerdale, Yorkshire, England
Also note that at the same time in the same village there is an Emmanuel Barr staying with William Maw and his mother Martha:

2480 Comments ($title): The location of Theda's birth is Oxford, Oxford Co, Maine. I got this from a family register I recently found when clearing my parents' home. I believe it to have been filled out by Theda. She is the only child listed as born in Oxford, and all remaining children are shown as b. in Gray, Maine.

2482 Comments (Cooke, Lieutenant Roger Henry (1910 - 1941)): The Pelican Fecord, Vol. VL, No.5, December 1902, p. 173 lists under marriages:

"On Sept 25, 1902, at St. Margaret's, Rochester, by the Rev. G.F. Cooke, MA Rector of Litton, Somerset, father of the bridegroom, Arthur George Cooke, B.A. Indian Civil Service to Kathleen Jessie Cooke, youngest daughter of Henry Cooke, of Rochester."

More precise than your listing, if it can be documented. I am researching the father, Rev. George Frederic Cooke, for a work-in-progress book on synchronicity.

2485 Comments (Ellen (Est 1810 - Between 1842 and 1851)): I think the parents of Ellen 'Moyser' were Thomas BURDON & Ann ROBSON (my great great great great grandparents). I'm descended from their son Thomas Burdon (born 2 Sep 1795, baptised 20 Sep 1795 Raskelf, died 22 Apr 1879 Easingwold, buried 25 Apr 1879). There's a baptism record for their daughter: "Ellin" born 21 June 1809, bap 27 Jun 1809 Raskelf and a marriage record for the marriage of Ellen Burdon to Thomas Moyser 15 Nov 1834 in Raskelf. The 1841 census has Ann Burdon, an innkeeper in Raskelf, living with Thomas Moiser an ag lab, his wife Ellen and children Sarah 6, William 4, John 3, Elizabeth 2 and Ann 3 weeks. There's also 8 year old Thomas Thorp in the household (son of another of Thomas & Ann Burdon's children Elizabeth Burdon who married William Thorp in 1833). I got all of my information from records on Findmypast. I can provide more info. if you're interested. Best wishes, Yvonne

2495 Comments (Meadows, Captain Arthur (1770 - 1844)): For years we have had an old wooden trunk with a plaque on it that says, "Arthur Meadows".
I found out recently he is my 3rd great grandfather. I also have a seal for imprinting his initials in sealing wax. If you contact me I will send you pictures of both.

2496 Comments (Rudge, Ernlie James (1877 - 1970)): This is my great-grandfather. I am so glad I found this web site. My grandmother was Mildred Evelyn Rudge and she married Samuel Francis Short in Halifax, NS. They had 5 children, one of them is my mother.
It is so great to find this information.

Thomas Mawe in this family was the fourth son of Thomas Mawe MD of Tralee, Co Kerry who died during the Cholera epidemic in Tralee in 1832. The eldest son was James Harvey Mawe who entered Trinity College Dublin in 1827 and became Attorney in Court of Exchequer, Dublin in 1834. Their mother was Anne Lett (Kings Inns Admission Papers, IMC, Dublin 1982, p 332).

There is an account of the harrowing escape of Jane and Lotte, detailing the death of her husband as they escaped from Nowgong in Central India in 1857, in Angels of Albion, women of the Indian Mutiny by Jane Robinson, Viking, 1996, p 68 to 72.
