139 In 1841, according to census data, Peter Dunsire [35] and Agnes Nicol [81] were living with Peter Burt [36] and Ann Burt [36] in West Coaltown. Peter Dunsire would be Ann's brother b. 25 January 1807, and Agnes Nicol their mother, b. 7 March 1762, despite arithmetical discrepancies in the given ages. There is hardly any doubt that we are seeing an unmarried Peter Dunsire living with his mother and his married sister. Dunsire, Peter (I4390)

141 The second of Agnes Nicol’s sons to wed (though not the older) was William (b.1798) , in 1818, to a lady variously named in parish registers as Hannah, Ann or Agnes McBean, or Agnes MacBonn, McBone, McBain, even Bones. You have to realise that in Fife, a ‘bone’ in dialect is a bane: all of these spellings sound much the same. A collier in East and West Wemyss and Methilhill, he ended up as a bleacher in Kirkland. They had ten children: Agnes (b. 1819, m. Andrew Mercer) did not appear in the parish register; then Andrew b.1820 (d.inf.), Janet 1822 (m.John Suttie), Alexander 1824, Mary 1826 (m. John Galloway), William 1831 (m. Catherine Guthrie), Ann Burt 1833 (m. Henry Thomson), Margaret 1836, and Andrew Keilor 1839 (m. Jane McKay). Only the youngest two sons, William b. 1831 and Andrew Keilor b.1839, produced families. Agnes had a colourful life with the Kennoway collier, Andrew Mercer. Through a descendant (Malcolm Holt) a family tree is available (not presented here - see www.skeyltd.demon.co.uk/fife_gen/index.html ]. A daughter (Janet) of Janet and John Suttie later married Thomas Bisset, the brother of Catherine Bisset who married Alexander Dunsire b.1843. (Information from Jim Bisset).
William died 3 September 1864, of asthma. Agnes died 7 April 1867, also in Methil, cause obscure.

147 According to the Statutory Register of Deaths Index, an Elizabeth Dunsire age 75 died in 1913 in Buckhaven: the dates, though not the forename, fit Eliza Baird.
On successive censuses, her name is Eliza or Elizabeth; also on Stat.Reg.Index of Marriages. Only on her son Watson's marriage certificate is her name given as Janet.
Baird, Eliza (I4130)
