Paul Alexander Maw, 71, of Liberty, husband to Brenda B. Maw, passed away December 3, 2021.
Born in Pelzer, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Mary Frances Wilhoit Maw. Mr. Maw proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 after twenty-one years of service. During his military career he served in Vietnam and spent two tours in Germany. He is a member of Five Point Church in Easley, American Legion Post 151 and Military Officers Association of America.
Mr. Maw is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Brenda B. Maw; daughter, Alisha Johnson of Clemson; son, Steven Maw (Miranda) of Anderson; brother, Rusty Maw (Libby) of Liberty; sister, Elizabeth Beach of Easley. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Jaxson, Seth and Katelyn.
Paul is predeceased by his parents and a brother, Ralph Maw.
Burial with military honors at Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Obituary:
Brenda Bryant Maw, 70, widow of Paul Maw, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 of a broken heart. She was born October 15, 1951, in Easley, the daughter of Ralph Junior Bryant and Mildred Frances Owens Bryant Fricks. She was as member of 5 Point Church in Easley.

Brenda grew up in Easley and married the love of her life, Paul shortly after she graduated high school. Paul was in the US Army and together they traveled around the US and Germany wherever he was stationed at. She was able to attain her Associate degree during a stint in California. She eventually started working at Cornerstone National Bank, where she stayed for over 20 years becoming the Vice President of Compliance. She enjoyed reading her Bible every day, and she was actively involved with Senior Adult Ministries at 5 Point. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her grandbabies. She loved her family and will be deeply missed by them.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Alisha Johnson and her children, Seth and Katelyn Thompson, all of Liberty; a son, Steven Maw and his wife, Miranda, and their son, Jaxson, all of Anderson; a brother, Larry Bryant; and a sister, Kathy Watts.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, and who died in December 2021, Paul; and a sister, Peggy Taylor.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, March 9th, at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Rd., Central. Interment will follow at Lawrence Chapel UMC Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00PM Tuesday, March 8th at the funeral home.

Those who wish to remember Brenda in a special way may make donations in her memory to 5 Point Church Food Pantry, 1039 S. Pendleton St., PO Box 1827 Easley, SC 29641.

Frances Wilhoit Maw, 77, widow of Lloyd Maw, formerly of 556 Pinedale Road in Liberty, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005.

She was born in Pelzer, and was a daughter of the late Paul Howard and Mary Boren Wilhoit.

She graduated from Liberty High School and Draughn's Business College. She retired from the Civil Engineering Department at Clemson University and was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her sons, Paul Maw (Brenda) of Liberty, Ralph Maw (Kay) of Marion, Texas, and Rusty Maw (Libby) of Liberty; a daughter, Elizabeth Beach (Wally) of Easley; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 3:15 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lawrence Chapel Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m., prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lawrence Chapel Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 1912, Clemson, SC 29633.

The family is at their respective homes.

Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central-Clemson Commons, is assisting the family with arrangements.
