Mary jane is the daughter of Ezekiel Wells Cheney and Lucy Elzada Hardy. She married Daniel Newell Drake, III on Sep. 27, 1874 in Hooper, Utah and they became the parents of 11 known children: Daniel Newell, Lewis Wells, Lawrence, Lucy Elvira, John Henry, William Richard, Rosezell, Charles Walter, Pearl, Ira Manuel and Ernest Emery.
