  Collier in West Wemyss. Listed in A J Campbell "Fife Shopkeepers and Traders 1820-1870" as a grocer in Methil from 1861 to 1878. Died at Sandy Wynd, Methil, 21 July 1878, age 63: embolism and gangrene of the lower leg, cardiac disease. Interred in East Wemyss cemetery, beside wife Janet.
