      The Wye House Asylum was an establishment for the care and treatment of the insane of the higher and middle classes. Resident Physician and Proprietor in 1894 was F. K. Dickson F.R.C.P. & F.R.C.S. Edin. It was erected in 1861by the Duke of Devonshire.

      Since the observations made upon Wye House in our 16th Report of 1862 Dr Dickson has removed to other premises close to Buxton, which had been specially constructed for the purposes of an Asylum and are licensed to him and his son Dr Francis A Dickson for 24 male and 20 female patients."

      Ealing Isolation Hospital was on the East side of South Ealing Road. It was opened in 1884 and had 12 permanent beds.
      Witnesses at the marriage were William Douglas & Frank Briggs (groom's younger brother).
